The current research expands upon this finding by revealing group-housed white-footed mice to fipronil bait under simulated field conditions prior to tick infestation. Mice (n = 80) had been housed in groups of 10 within large enclosures and offered a choice between fipronil bait within a commercial bait station and an alternate diet. The mice were assigned to two treatment groups as well as 2 control groups to undergo bait visibility durations of either 24h (reduced) or 168h (extended). Teams were additional differentiated because of the time point post-bait exponce of an alternative diet, and efficiently manage larval ticks on addressed mice. A field test is needed to confirm the outcomes of the research.
